Renee Leverington on tuttu miulle viime kesäisestä huivi-KAL:sta.

Löysin siis täydellisen ohjeen Viron villalleni. Lisäksi maalaisena miuta viehätti huivi nimi. Muistan myös nähneeni huivia Venäjällä baabuskoilla luonnonvärisenä. Innostuin kovasti ohjeesta, ryhdyin neulomaan innolla. Huivia olikin joutuisaa ja helppoa neuloa.

Ohje: Täällä

Last summer I bought a skein of green yarn in Tallinn. I was looking for a suitable pattern last winter but nothing really excited me. Then one night in June I stumbeled over Renee Leverington's free shawl pattern. I took part in one of Renee's KAL's last summer. Anyways the pattern was exactly what I had been searching for.

I live in a small rural community, so I liked the name of the shawl too! I remember seeing something like this in Russia. Old babushkas used (maybe they still do) wear shawls like this on cold winter days. They were grey or brown, undyed wool.

The shawl was a pleasure to knit. I loved to see how the colours changed and since you mostly use the knit stitch, it was really fast to knit too.

Pattern: Here

Needles: Addi Circulars 4 mm

Yarn: No name wool yarn bought in Tallinn, Estonia
